Reset Week

woman in treatment for postpartum anxiety in Nashville, TN

At The Postpartum Den, we see mothers who are unsettled, stretched thin, and unsure where to turn next. Research shows that 1 in 5 mothers experiences a perinatal mood or anxiety disorder (PMAD), yet many feel dismissed or are told to “wait and see.” Waiting often means symptoms gain more ground. We designed this one-week track to give mothers a short, concentrated burst of therapy that provides relief you can feel and a plan you can trust.

Who this week is for

This week is right for mothers who are:

•Feeling over-extended and dysregulated, snapping quickly, unable to settle, experiencing more worry than usual or carrying a low, heavy mood that doesn’t lift.
•Pregnant and approaching delivery, and are concerned about their mental health, wanting a clear support plan before the baby arrives.
•Returning to work and needing tools for sleep, feeding, pumping, and the mental load of juggling roles.
•Managing intrusive thoughts that are distressing but do not prevent them from caring for their baby.
•Not ready to commit to a full program, but needing more than a single weekly session.

Who this program is not for

This one-week track is not the right fit for every situation. It is not appropriate if:

  • You are in immediate crisis or experiencing thoughts of harming yourself or others.
  • You are experiencing psychosis, mania, or severe disconnection from reality.
  • You require 24-hour supervision or inpatient medical/psychiatric care.
  • You are already recommended for and willing to start an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
  • You are seeking ongoing weekly therapy; this package is a short, intensive assessment and support week, not a long-term therapy plan.

If any of these apply, we will work with you to connect to a higher level of care that matches your needs, whether that is IOP, inpatient support, or referral to local providers.

Regulation; Coming back to steady

Postpartum stress shows up in the nervous system. When you’re dysregulated, the body doesn’t reset easily: you may feel keyed-up, restless, or stuck in racing thoughts, or the opposite, flat, heavy, and checked out. Regulation means the ability to come back to steady. During this week, we teach and practice practical regulation skills, then help you fit them into the rhythm of feeding, sleep, and daily life.

What this week includes:

Comprehensive clinical assessment (75 min):

Comprehensive clinical assessment (75 min): history, screenings, risk review, and a same-day plan.
